The Yamane Championship Mixed Martial Arts IBJJF World Championship Medalists count has gone up once again! Niall Yamane won Gold – Black Belt Division, Megan Lam won Gold – Blue Belt Division, Jerry Clanton won Gold – Blue Belt Division, Jamie Holder won Bronze – Blue Belt Division, and Sixto Boyer won Bronze – Blue Belt Division. Not only does Yamane Championship Mixed Martial Arts have the only 2016 Black Belt World Championship Gold Medal in Alabama, we also have the most Gold Medals!!! That’s how we roll!
The Yamane Championship Mixed Martial Arts Team stormed the 2016 NAGA US National Championship. Yamane is now the 2016 OVERALL ADULT TEAM NATIONAL TEAM CHAMPIONS, 2016 Adult Brazilian Jiu Jitsu National Team Champions, AND the 2016 Youth Brazilian Jiu Jitsu & No Gi National Team Champions!!!
The 2016 Academic GPA for the Yamane Championship Mixed Martial Arts Kids/Teens Team for the 2015-16 school year is an astounding 3.67! This proves our philosophy that the Yamane Championship Mixed Martial Arts Kids & Teens can excel both in our program AND at school! Keep up the good work! We are so proud of all of you!!!
After hundreds of difficult matches, Yamane Championship Mixed Martial Arts won the Alabama State Jiu Jitsu Championship 1st Place Team Awards in all 4 divisions: Adult Gi, Adult No-Gi, Youth Gi, and Youth No-Gi. At the end of the day, the Yamane Team won 36 Gold Medals, 30 Silver Medals, and 27 Bronze Medals for an overall total of 93 medals! This is the FIFTH CONSECUTIVE YEAR that Yamane MMA has won the Alabama State titles! A big shoutout and thanks to all our families, friends and competitors who made this a truly spectacular experience!
Alabama’s Congressman Bradley Byrne invited Niall and Layla Yamane to his Congressional Office to celebrate Yamane Championship Mixed Martial Arts winning the 2015 NAGA (North American Grappling Association) National Championship! Congrats to the super coaches of the first annual SPAR FEST 2015! Facing some of the best boxing competitors in the world, Emily Atwood earned a Silver Medal in the Ringside Boxing World Championships in Independence, Missouri! The Best versus the Best. Awesome job Emily!
